I had one year of med surg experience and 6 months of ICU experience before I landed my first travel gig right in the middle of this pandemic LOL Go for ICU. You know how to assess and know how to titrate meds. Give yourself honest feeback and if you feel you can safely care for and advocate for your patient and yourself, go for it ? I havent looked back since

Hello all ? I am new here. I am interested in doing travel nursing. Specifically ICU or PACU. I have been a RN 6 years. 4 of those medsurg/neuro, 1 year ICU, and currently 1 year in PACU. I need advice as to which path would be best (ICU or pacu). I have very little experience in either area. I love the ICU and that's what I am passionate about learning more about. PACU is great but it's kinda boring most of the time. I feel like I'm not learning or growing as a nurse. During this pandemic which area would have consistent work?? comments and ideas are very much appreciated ?
