Please help, I'm thinking of studying nursing in Phil. as second courser, are there any schools that offer accelerated course, see 2 to 3 yrs.? I would consider visayas since I have to rent a place close to the school and I think it is cheaper there compare to Luzon area, I finished a 4 yr degree before in the phil, and hoping it will not take me so long, also, I have a dual citizenship, Fil-am, please let me know what are the exams that I have to take in the phil before taking nclex here in the us.I am also 38 yrs. Old, I heard there age restrictions in some of the school, please help....

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Not sure where you live or plan on working but be aware that currently there issues for a lot of nurses with CA due to clinical and theory hours not running concurrent. Just something to think about and sort out

Plus most grads do not pass the NCLEX at the rate of 70percet failure.

Specializes in Neuro-Surgery, Med-Surg, Home Health.

Enroll in the best nursing school you can find, not just any nursing school.

I am a Fil-Am clinical supervisor and a nursing preceptor here in the SF Bay Area and I have observed that many, although not all, of the recent graduates of nursing schools in the Philippines have received lower quality of education and training compared to the nursing graduates in years past.
