i have been a nurse for 13 years and was just offered $27.

no differential on weekends :(

i'm in indiana. i'd like to know what others are making.

that's a job with benefits, by the way.

Specializes in Med/Surg since ‘96; PACU since ‘16.
going rates vary drastically in each state and can be for different cities as well in the same state.

and then it depends on if the job is for the hospital, clinic, or nursing home.

you cannot just go by what the going rate is for an area, so much more is involved with that.

are you looking for going rate in that specific area or across the us?

okay. sorry. gee, i didn't really put a whole lot of thought into it before i posted the question. i've been working without benefits at one hospital and get a base of $25. pool nurses haven't gotten a raise in years. we also don't get counted for years of service. (is that common?) my new offer was for $27/hr. so i just started wondering what my fellow nurses were making... really just wondering. but then also i thought, hey, if i were to move, what other states were averaging.

Specializes in Infection Preventionist/ Occ Health.

My pay is poor by comparison, especially considering that I'm salary and don't get paid for overtime. On the other hand, I work M-F day shift, which is nice.

New grad 25.50 days. 6.50 night diff, 1.75 weekend diff. AZ.

Specializes in LTC/SNF, Psychiatric, Pharmaceutical.

in oklahoma, base pay is 17-20 an hour in the oklahoma city area. even less in rural hospitals.

Specializes in ER.
Wow, 4 years of experience-- 32/hr!

Okay, I'm considering cost of living there probably a bit more...

Is that in a large city?

That is what the Twin Cities area hospitals are at for my experience level, St Cloud is at $30.
