Interested in pursing a peer mentoring program as a grad school project

Greetings! I am working on my application for graduate school to become a nurse educator at my alma mater. I am most primarily interested in peer mentoring as a research subject and while I've been doing some research and have found some really great leads (I found research where a school did a "skills-a-thon" with second semester students mentored in skills by seniors after a summer break) and while my research is going well, I'd like to know if any of you out there in AllNurses.com - land have any experience with this first hand. Are peer mentors available or encouraged in your program? Do you think this is a worthy cause for research?

Hi! I am the president of our Student Nursing Organization and we are trying to start a peer mentoring program. If you have any information that you could share or point me to I would love it! Do you know of any programs that are really good that we should contact or look at?

Thanks for any help! You can PM me if you would like.

Let me dig up some of the sources that I've been looking at and I'll shoot a message your way soon. :) How exciting!
