Nurses Career Support

Specializes in PICU is main dept. (NICU and CICU exp.).

Hello friends,

I'm wanting to move to Boston and continue my career in Pediatric nursing. I currently work in the PICU of a top 10 children's hospital. It's a fantastic facility with great co-workers. However, my heart lies in Boston. The city is everything I could want in a place to live. What I'm asking from you folks is some insight in to the salary I could expect to make, some facilities with great pediatric ICUs, thoughts about areas to live and expected cost of living. Information about me is that I've been a nurse for 2 years, and only have worked in the PICU. I live with my fiance, and she is an occupational therapist. She's been working as an OT for 3 years now. We wouldn't mind city living, but we also wouldn't mind living somewhere nicer/cheaper and having to commute. There is lots to think about in terms of making this decision, but I'm looking for any insight that may be of use. Thank you in advance!

I was hoping someone would have replied to this. My heart is in Boston too, just trying to get experience before I move there. When do you plan on moving?
