Interested in Joining LPN/LVN Professional Organization(s)

Specializes in Pediatrics, ICU, ED.

Has anyone joined any of the LVN/LPN Professional Organizations below?

If so, what are the pros and cons?

Is it worth it?

What are the perks?

Are there other organizations out there other than the ones below that I missed?

I'm interested in joining them to network with other LVN/LPN.

Thanks in advance!

hi live&love&heal i do not know of any lvn/lpn professional organizations, i did not know of the ones you just gave, existed. thank you for the information.

I received certification in meds from NAPNES. When I graduated from LPN school in 1982, I was certified to pass meds by the Ohio Association of Practical Nurse Educators (OAPNES). Most facilities back then preferred the NAPNES certification. I worked for a hospital that paid for my certification with NAPNES. I don't have a membership in NAPNES other than my certification, meaning I don't pay annual dues to either organization. Most states have their own nursing associations. You should be able to find them on your state's BON web site.
