In today's health care world, we are moving toward the point where any US RN who wants to work in acute care (including OB) will need a BSN.... this change has already happened in larger cities and progressing into other areas of the country. So, definitely get your BSN so you will be prepared for any eventuality.
"Research nurse" positions vary, depending on the job responsibilities. For the most part, they are the paperwork-completers for the Primary Investigator (doctorally prepared nurse or physician). They may take medical histories and do vital signs, conduct patient teaching, make follow up calls, etc.... a clinic-type role. If you are saying that you want to conduct research, you will probably need to aim for a doctorate because that is the level at which professional research is conducted. Some MSNs may also be involved in research, but usually it's related to organizational improvements rather than independent studies.
CRNAs are Masters prepared nurses. You will need a couple years of ICU experience to be eligible for a CRNA program - admission is highly competitive, so you will also need a stellar GPA.
Good luck on your education. Work very hard to achieve the highest grades in order to lay the foundation for your career goals.
