Hello! I have worked as a mental health nurse for the past 6 years and as a mental health program manager for the past 2.5 years. I have often turned to the internet when questions have come up about my job - questions about making the best decisions about patient care, understanding the mental health nurse's role and wondering what other mental health nurses are doing in their practice. I have been thinking about creating an online home for mental health nurses that provides resources and support focused on professional development and personal development. Things are changing so fast in our profession, which often comes at the cost of personal wellness, so it makes sense to me to bring these two ideas together. On top of that, I would like to create a community for mental health nurses to connect with other mental health nurses who have a positive outlook and are working to promote advances within their own areas.
I'm coming to this forum tonight because I wanted to see if anyone else is interested in this kind of resource. Has anyone else ever gone to the internet looking for answers about mental health nursing, but not able to find what you were looking for? What were you looking for? If there was a site that had professional and personal development resources, would you use that site?
I appreciate your thoughts! Thanks - Chrissy

Suggest you contact the site owner reference promoting your site here.
From your response, I take it appears I have violated a policy? I don't actually have a site, but I am interested in learning what other mental health nurses are looking for. If I am going about it the wrong way, I don't mind taking down my post.

If it was a violation of company policy than you need to contact the compliance office at your work.
If you are looking for material for groups I have found a lot of great resources with therapistaid, and teencentral for other groups. Also, if you have a lot of patients suffering with the same illness Google is my bff
