I'm thinking about enrolling in this school program and taking a&p 1 and 2. Has anyone taken a class there? If so how was it? And were you able to transfer it to your nursing program with no problems? Also, what grade did you receive? I really need A's and want to know if its possible in such a short amount of time.
I hope so. How long ago did you take it oh and can you give me a little more insight on the oral exam in micro?
I took AP I in March 2012 and APII in April/May 2012 and then Micro in June 2012, so basically back-to-back. After the 3rd class, I was ready for a break because honestly it was like a second job studying during the week and then giving up your entire weekend, but it's so worth it compared to taking classes at a cc because it would take a year or longer to complete. I love that this program exists! The Micro lab oral midterm exam honestly is not that scary, if you pay attention and study your lab manual and the experiments you'll pass. The instructor that I had for lab was really cool, she gave direction on what to know and its just one question. If you pay attention, you'll be like this is easy. It could be a question about the peptidoglycan wall and why does a bacteria stain differently if the cell is gram negative vs gram positive? Or describe the morphology of staphylococcus aureus and e.coli? (basically one is bacilli and one is cocci)...trust me you'll be fine, you'll learn it, do experiments and know.
All of the instructors want you to succeed and everyone taking the courses is preparing to apply to a nursing program, PA school, MD school, dentistry school, LVN, etc., so that is also cool that everyone has a similar goal for their career.

You're welcome! If you have the same instructor I did, you will learn a lot! He makes it very applicable to nursing.
