An interesting article to read. I know that I am happy that I went back for my schooling and am now working as an acute care NP.  I'm coming up on a year of employment, first eight months in a hospitalist group and then I was transitioned into the critical care unit. Huge learning curves and some days the added responsibility feels a bit overwhelming. But I'm looking forward to many years in this field and would recommend it to others.
