You have to be a citizen with a valid passport, it doesn't say anything about the length of time being a citizen, so you can be a new citizen. That makes sense, it takes several years of residency to get the citizenship, so there's no quick way if that's what you were thinking.
You have to be a qualified professional from the NAFTA list with a certain degree often baccalaureate, as a nurse you have to be licensed.
It used to be valid for one year and as far as I know you could renew it one time, but now you can get one valid for three years I believe.
It's strictly temporary and not to be used for permanent residency, and the job list is quite restricted.

takes a few years to become a citizen of canada and must reside in canada a certain amount of time and any time taken outside canada can not be included.
time lived in canada
to become canadian citizens, adults must have lived in canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before applying. children do not need to meet this requirement.
you may be able to count time you spent in canada before you became a permanent resident if that time falls within the four-year period.

What qualifies someone for a TN visa? I know they must be a Mexican or Canadian citizen, but if they're not naturalized citizens of those countries how long must they be citizens of those countries before qualifying for a TN visa? How long is the TN visa valid for and how often can they renew it?
