I am starting the LVN program at Merritt College on August 20th and wanted to know if anyone out there knows the best way to prepare for what I am about to get myself into. I have starting the reading in the Med/Surg book and the Nurising Interventions and Clinical Skills, but do not know how much I should read ahead of time.
I am nervous, excited and terrified that I am going to flunk out of nursing school. I also found out that the class that just graduated in the Spring only had 18 students graduate out of 40 who started!

Did you go to Carrington College for the LVN? How was it?
It was very expensive! I went there when the San Leandro location had just started their program (2003) and it was very intense and disorganized. I ended up dropping the first term and never looked back. Someone who is a current student there could probally give you better advice on how the program is.
