Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I figured you L&D nurses would know the answer best. I am only in RN pre-reqs, don't know med stuff yet. I am diagnosed with low progesterone levels and take progesterone every other month. I have researched a little bit. My family is known to have infertility and pregnancy probs. My mom had a quite a few miscarries and few that happened at 5 months. I am an only child and they were surprised when she carried me almost full-term. This was in the 70's, all they said was she was unable to carry pregnancies due to cervix ect. I know that from reading about low progesterone levels this happens sometimes due to hormones. I am not asking for med advice, but just ideas. Does this sound like the 2 are related and I have the problem my mom has. I just don't understand if low progesterone is something to worry about or if it is realitively normal and all is well. My doctor just says oh, no biggie. Just wondering about info.

This is something only your doctor who knows your history can answer. It sounds like you are very concerned about this (as you should be), maybe getting a second opinion is in order? Good luck.
