Infection control study material for NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone,

I am trying to prepare for the nclex and am looking for good study material for Infection Control. Someone mentioned the "mneumonic of infection control." Does anyone know what this is? a book? And if anyone knows of any books to help with infection control questions that they could recommend, that would be great! Thanksss!

I've used this for tests before and found it helpful. :)

wow reallly cool that seems helpful thank you 6mostogoRN!!!!

I was going to recommend the post linked in the post above. I came across it a couple of days before my NCLEX just last week & totally came in handy!

I must say though, I was a bit confused on why Chickenpox (varicella) & Shingles disseminated (herpes zoster-disseminated) are listed under Airborne, yet Varicella Zoster is under Contact. Is it when active case then Airborne, but if virus dormant then Contact? I could very well be missing an obvious, but my brain is on vacation since taking NCLEX (oh, & I passed!).

Good luck SJM!

YESSS i noticed the same thing...i think you said it though CGmedic with the active and dormant, we could be wrong though haha thanks and congrats on passing
