Hi Everybody,
I have a question for people who have gone through or who are going through Indiana State University (online) LVN-BSN AND have a BS/BA in a non-nursing field.....
I have read through the website and I already emailed the school and awaiting their reply...I noticed that it looks like it will take 3 full years to complete the LVN-BSN...but what if you already hold a BA/BS in another field and have most of the general education out of the way....Does it shorten your time in the program if you're accepted? Also, is the program have time limit online to complete classes? Or is it more self paced when you complete a class at your own pace? If anybody can give me more information on the curriculm I'd appreciate it....I'm from California, so this is my only option for an online RN school...I know Oklahoma State University?SDSU has a program for ABSN, but it can only be down in Southern California.
Thanks In Advance

I am sorry if I can't be of that much help. I am in the same situation as you. I spoke to a rep from ISU and was told the time could be shorter for me since I have a BA already. Unfortunately, ISU is not accepted in my state so I had to drop the idea.
Haha! I would prefer Excelsior which is accepted in your state, and you seem to be interested in ISU which is accepted by my state....I tried to PM you, but was unsuccessful....Let me know which route you end up choosing!

I know this is a little older thread but I'd be interested in knowing the same thing. I have a BS degree and an LPN license. Does anyone have anymore insight on this issue? THanks!

A track such are you are discussing is in the works, but not approved yet.
At Indiana State University? Do you know if there is a timeline for when it plans to be up and running? Thanks!
No...and things never seem to move as quickly as one would like....lots of committee approvals needed....I'd keep an eye out on the web page at http://www.indstate.edu/nursing
I would think it would be announced there when available....

Do you have your BA/BS in another field? I currently have my BS/BA and Im doing my LVN right now. I considered this to be the easiest route to get to where I needed to get to because I want to become and RN. I figured this would help me if I wanted to go the BSN or ADN
