Has anyone heard of the Military Sealift Command (MSC). From reading the website it seems pretty cool if you are into traveling on noncombatant military vessels (Navy). The starting pay is good and they pay over time if patients are seen after working hours. I believe the starting pay is 4700 per month. PA,s RN,s and former Navy/Coast Guard Independent Duty Corpsman work independent of a doctor. This may be one of the few areas in which an RN can have complete autonomy. If I were single, I would look into it.

I heard about it. One of my HM1s mentioned it to me as we were doing UNREP one day. Thing is, a lot of those guys on the ship are older and more prone to injury/medical conditions. Yeesh!
