Independent Contractor Nurse

Hello, I was looking into becoming an Independent Contractor Nurse. Does anyone have any idea where to start or what things I would need? I currently work for an agency and I want to cut out the middle man to take home more profit. I need all information from what I need to start and how do I go about finding work? If you can point me in the right direction, please do.

All I know to tell you is to be careful in your expectations of a higher income. As an independent contractor, you will need to either hire an accountant or well-versed in Social Security & tax laws. You will be responsible for many items that your employer pays for now.
