independent clinical placements Southern California

HI! 

wondering if any online NP students are around southern california? Being in an online NP school, we are required to find our own clinical placements and looking for some direction.

If anyone has any advice on where they went? how do you ask? recommendations where to start and whom to look for?

My program was online. I utilized my place of employment (the hospital I worked at that time) as a place of networking and to find preceptors for my FNP program. Many internists do primary care outside the hospital. I was lucky for my peds rotation though. I went to a local family owned peds clinic and introduced myself and they accepted me. I was dreading finding an OB clinic (because I'm a dude) but I also go lucky that my instructor found a clinic for me.
