Nursing Students General Students

Published

So I'm a pre nursing student.

And I'm busy you know with school, as well as the volunteer work I do at the hospital.

And I'm getting pretty tired of relying on my parents AGAIN.

I worked before but quit to just to focus on school, but it's hard being broke all the time.

Haha anyway my point is.

If ANYONE out there knows of any jobs available in the part time preferably in the Los Angeles County (San Gabriel Valley)

area could be please let me know.

Links, sites, ideas, ANYTHING basically that could help me find a job will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. :twocents:

Actually what i really meant was by a gig.

Meaning when I go down there, and there's a group of people.

Most of the time do they take everyone? Or is it like they would 20 of the 45 people that showed up.

But I think you already answered my question.

This is awesome, I can't wait to get into it.

I've already printed out the paper work, I'm just gonna wait till its almost summer, get all dressed up and head down there.

And the pay is pretty awesome for college students like me, especially for not doing anything really.

Just being in the background. Hahah

But thank you seriously! I'll let you know what happens.

Specializes in developmentally disabled.

i'm nearly done with my first semester of nursing school. i work pt in a group home (developmentally disabled kids), and once in school i changed my schedule to overnights. it's worked out wonderfully. it forces me to get my studying done, no distractions, access to computer, etc. another plus, is that for my training at work, i'm med certified, have cpr, regularly get my ppd, etc. another job i've had before is working in a liquor store...a great mindless, low stress job... that did have some downtime (in order to study).

hope this helps.

ps... i'll catch up on sleep this summer

How do you sleep in between?!

I might look into that too, sounds good.

Any specific requirements?

there are no qualifications needed, other than having a driver's license and a drug test. it doesn't pay well, but i wanted something 'in the field'...but i look at it this way, i get paid to study  , and there is a 'nite differntial'.

i only work pt (tues, fri. and sat. nites - 10pm - 8am), sleep is an issue, but it may just help when i'm actually an rn starting out (without seniority).

gl,

Yes, you got it right, if they book 40 people, they take 40 people, and while sometimes they send some home early if they are done with that particular scene, if you show up, you get paid.

So getting early is key.

Thank you!

Could you give me like a company name, website, anything really that I could find more information on this stuff at, and apply. cause this seems like a not so bad job. I wouldn't mind it, pay doesn't matter to me as long as I'm getting paid.

Thank you!
