Discussion

In need of some advice.

So I've just finished my core pre reqs this fall and I'm going to be applying to programs in January.

Now I know nursing schools can reply as quick as the next semester or as long a year.

I feel its necessary to keep my memory fresh when it comes to the big three (anatomy, physio, and micro)

So when I do get into nursing school, none of the material is foreign. And I won't spend time looking back and relearning old material.

SO the question is, what subject (either anatomy, physio, or micro) should I review? Cause I know all three of the subjects are very pivotal in nature but for the people who are in programs now, I ask you if you had a chance to review any of the three subjects again which one and why? Which subject do you feel is most important to know prior going into nursing school.

Feedback appreciated! Thank you!

Anatomy and Physiology, I think, would be the most important courses. I cannot speak for everyone’s program, but in my Adult Health courses, we reviewed the A&P of the systems we were studying at the time. While it was not in depth, there was a quick overview. Some things I did forget until discussed in my nursing courses. I think the more times you are exposed to the material the more it cements into your brain. So, don’t panic. It is important to understand how the body works to make necessary connections, but I don’t ever remember seeing an A&P question on any of my nursing exams. I hope this helps.
