Morning all, I am getting all organised for the medicals for me, hubby and the kids and have been searching the threads for lots of immunisation info!! One question I cannot find an answer to is this.... Does my husband need to have Hep B, or just the kids???? I understand that the kids do for school etc.. and I am covered, but not sure about him. Don't want to make him suffer jabs for no reason!!:lol2:

We just had titrates done with the GP for MMR my GP did not want to charge us but the NHS lab refused to process them without payment as they said we were all adults & it was not to detect illness. It cost £60 each & 3 of us had to have them done £180 in total. still I've heard it costs more if you need the shots when you get to the medical so better safe than sorry.

My hubby and the kids have had Heb B Inj. (£60 each at our GPs) He says if the kids need it he is having it too because there must be an issue with it in US.

It is for the kids to go to school, no more of an issue than it is in the UK

Why did you not have them done at work? I did and I took my hubby's too.

I did take them in to work but everything is computerised now and it all is recorded & has to be accounted for, my GP is linked to the hospital I work for as well. It's a bummer but it's done now!:o

Just no perks anymore is there, I only did ours last year, and the consultant signed off the paperwork.
