you can apply for a TFN even if you are not employed yet. i applied for it once i started my bridging program and got it even before it ended.

Got my TFN today. It was sent via post. No sort of identification requirements needed, I just did the online registration.

With regard to ANMAC assessment, do I really need to wait for my the paper registration sent by AHPRA on my declared address before I could apply for ANMAC Assessment?

Thank you..

hi! im new here so i have lots of questions. where do i start applying? did you went to an agency or directly applied in AHPRA? can you give me a link? thanks

Forumers have reported all in all about 2-3 weeks if the past, but now the sponsors have to show evidence that prove to immi that the position has not be filled by local/pr, because unvailable/no there, no one available with those skills of the overseas applicant, unlike in the past where immi just rubber stamped every application.

ie if a theatre position, the sponsor must show that they have education available for locals to train in the future for those positions/speciality. Or explain they have adequate training programs in the pipeline so not to sponsor again.

If sponsors are asking time and time again for the same speciality or amount of experience, there can be hold ups, and I have heard recently that they are denying some nursing sponsorships when they have not shown that adequate training programs for local nurses are in place as not to sponsor again. Possibly due to the nursing union involvement.

Fingers crossed yours will not be.

ceridwyn, it looks as though you have some experience on Aus immigration issues. I've only been able to sift through but so much of this 1100+ comment thread, and I still haven't found the answers I'm looking for yet. I also can't send pm's yet, but hopefully will be able to soon.

I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to pursue a holiday and work visa, an employer sponsored visa, or a fiancée visa. I'm engaged to an Australian who lives in the Sydney area and I'm looking to move to Australia mid-November. What are your thoughts?

Also, what nurse travel agencies have proved to be most helpful in the visa-process?

Thanks!

hello , can someone please help me how to resolve this problem....

I have a big worry regarding to my ANZSCO code nomination.

I just received the Letter of Determination from ANMAC,

I was nominated under ANZSCO code-254499 Registered Nurse (NEC)

and when applied for my skill assessment, I had my personal reference

assessed as well, aiming to obtain extra 5 points for immigration.

Here is my concern, my previous 3 years working experience with my personal

reference was under ANZSCO code 254415- Registered Nurse critical care and emergency, so there is a discrepancy between this, does it matter when

I submit my EOI and lodge my skilled independent 189 visa? Since the letter did mention I am suitable for migration and they count on my overseas working experience but under a different ANZSCO code. I guess I may choose the wrong code from the very beginning when i applied for my skill assessment. And then submitted my personal reference under a different code since I did work under that category(ER).

Thank you for answering in advance. I am truly and sincerely obliged to you for your help.

hi guys! what am i going to do if i haven't found job after the bp? what are tha possible alternatives, do i need to go back to the phil if im having the subclass 600 or enroll in another course if i have the student visa?

according to ANMAC's assessment in your work experience, you're under the general nurse category. It will be safe for you to follow their LoDs outcome when you lodge your application to diac.

Yes. That depends on what type of visa you will be having and for how long will you be allowed to stay in Au while job hundting..

The visa that you will be applying depends on what the school will as you to apply.. Some schools wanted you to have a student visa for 6 mos, some just the 3 mos subclass 600.
