I'm a nursing student, and I'm tired ALL the time. I need some energy! By diet is decent, I kind of exercise, I get at least 7 hours of sleep, and I take a multivitamin. I take One a Day Womens. Someone suggested I try One a Day All Day Energy. Anyone ever try it? Does it work? Anybody have any ideas how I can get more energy?
I'm exhausted too. I went to the doctor and he did blood work (at my insistance...he was sure it was just school). It all came back fine though. He told me to drink coffee. The next week I had the absolute WORST GI tract issues and had to stop drinking caffeine, so now I just tend to let sleep be a priority over school. I thought it would be a bad thing but it helps me focus. I cannot function nearly as well tired as I can when I'm alert, so an hour of alert studying is equal to about three hours of late night studying.
good luck. I hope it works for you.
Oh one thing I do like is the cran-ergy drinks by Ocean Spray. Its just vitamins and green tea extract and tastes like cranberry juice, but it really seemed to give me a good pick me up. If I start feeling REALLY crappy, sometimes i load up on fresh fruits/veggies/whole grains and just cut everything else out for 24 hrs or so and it helps me feel really refreshed. Sometimes I think I just eat so much garbage b/c of scheduling issues that I need to reset like that. Wonder how I'd feel if I could manage to eat that way (plus proteins and calcium sources etc of course) every day.

Your not alone. Im dog tired!!! These last three weeks have been so draining on my body. I will tell you to NOT drink red bull. I did at the beginning of this semester and it caused to many issues. I was jittery and just felt restless. I also require a lot of sleep and work full time on night shift. What is working for me is getting back into the gym and eating well.
