Well, I got my letter (a thick one) from Kennesaw State University and I've been accepted into the nursing program!! I'm so excited, yet a little nervous, too. This is for all you "non-traditional" nursing student hopefuls--I went into my prerequisites wondering if I could even handle Gen Chemistry I after so many years out of school. Even though this has been a stressful two years of taking all my prereqs, it was worth it when I read the word "Congratulations" in my letter! Whenever I get discouraged or stressed out, I go to the school bookstore and just look at the graduation display and picture myself walking across that stage and I remind myself that I can do this. And as my husband said when I worried, "But I'll be 46 when I graduate!", "Yes, but you'll be 46 either way, so why not be 46 with a bachelor's degree." Good luck to all of you! You have been a great source of knowledge and inspiration!
Girl,
I knew you would do it!!
I am so proud for you. I have tears in my eyes. As I have said before , You are going to be a GREAT nurse. Your life experiences are only going to benefit you and your patients. :balloons:
Even though we will be at different schools, we will still be in nursing school together! :kiss
Celebrate! :biggringi
