my GPA is 3.5 in Ge..and so far 3.7 in sciences...and i have one sci left chem 21 B..im afraid that wil drop my GPA down..
another option is cal state LA..is it very hard to get in? is it really good campus...I really like Long beach over LA..?

You should apply everywhere and see where the cards fall. Once your accepted make a pro and cons list. For example did you know that one semester of tuition at the State school is the same cost as the entire 2 yr tuition at El Camino. You'll know which is the best fit for you.

I just got myself into the ECC program for 2010 Fall. My last prereq was taken in Summer of 2009 and applied to Harbor College and ECC the following Fall. The only reason I applied to these two was because an ECC counselor told me that if I don't get in in Spring 2010, I would only have to wait one semester. Harbor is lottery based so I figured if I didn't get into Harbor, I'll just go to ECC. It was a huge gamble because you don't want to rely on anybody to tell you exactly how it's going to be. If your GPA is well above 3.0 you shouldn't even worry about the TEAS. It's pretty easy.
juneauEverest, congratulations once again! :)
you applied to ECC in fall 2009,how come you had to wait a year? because I thought that the waiting list was short... Did you have to re-apply for fall 2010? ECC counselor told me that they've closed the admissions for fall 2010...
I just have microbio left....I can't wait, did you take pharmacology at harbor?
No, I did not have to re-apply. I hope you're taking microbio during the summer because you're supposed to have all pre-reqs (except N145) completed before you turn in your application. I was planning on taking Intro to Pharma this summer at ECC, but because I already have a degree and cannot get financial aid without being a fulltime student, they only allow so many classes and I must take that in Fall to meet 12 units.
Yeah I am taking microbiology during summer. You know what..it is better to take pharmacology at harbor. I heard it is a lot easier and the professor is very nice. It actually knocks down the two pharmacology classes that are in elcamino nursing program. Couple of my friends took pharmacology at harbor and transferred to el camino.
I really wanted to take pharmacology at harbor, but I saw it closed. (this is my first time going to harbor)
If the class is closed" does it mean its full or is it canceled?...
I have no idea what that means. I took courses at Cerritos before transferring to UCR, and went back to ECC for the nursing pre-reqs, so I don't want to take another class at a different college because I'm tired of getting all those transcripts. But, again, I have to take it at ECC to meet the 12 units for my loans.
o yeah that's right..and getting all the transcripts from all the different college can be a big hassle. well, good luck with the program :) Wish you all the best!
