Why am I so afraid of school? I am really intimidated for some reason...I keep thinking that I won't have what it takes to make it.
I had a 3.23 GPA in undergrad...I took 3 semesters of BIO I got an A..B and B+....I got a C in chemistry though
Since it has been more than 5 years since I took my science courses I have to repeat them. I am registering for chemistry and I am so scared.
Is anyone else afraid?
I graduated with a B.A in communications in 2003 and I have had 3 jobs in three separate fields since then. I have been a 5th grade teacher, corporate secretary and now I am an admissions assistant. None of these jobs or fields have brought me any satisfaction.
I was a CNA when I was in college and I admit there were certain aspects of the job that I didn't like...the backbreaking labor (in LTC it's every CNA for themselves and as a result it IS backbreaking...the hospital was much better)...shoddy treatment from the nurses who didn't respect a nobody CNA...etc.
Those things aside I really miss the hospital enviorment. I worked at a large hospital as a floater and I had the chance to work in almost every department. From Peds to POCU...I even worked in a locked jail ward!
Of course I don't really really know what nursing is all about because I was a CNA but I have a good idea that for all it's pain in the butt issues nursing is for me.
Originally I figured that I could do a 10 month LPN program and move from there to an Associates in nursing. But then I found out that it would take the identical amount of time for me to get a BSN so why reach for anything less than the gold star right?
I am going to register at a local CC to do my pre-requisites and if all goes well...I can expect to be in a BSN program by Spring 2006.
But i'm feeling so nervous...what is wrong with me?

those pre req rules really screwed me up my freshman year because we're the last people to register for classes so I missed out on some labs therefore setting me back, but as long as I graduate before I'm 25 I'll be happy :)
