I'm an Out-of-State Resident: Can I Fingerprint in MD?

The BON website states that if you're an out-of-state resident, you should email them to get fingerprint cards. This will likely take time to receive and process. But if I will be in Maryland soon visiting friends, would I be able to just get fingerprinted while I am there? I think this is a Livescan process so perhaps this would expedite the background check?

Has anyone else done this?

Paco, i am an out of state resident and getting my MD license via endorsement. I submitted my request for fingerprint cards 2 weeks ago and they still havent come yet. I have called and called multiple times with no luck. So tomorrow i have just decided to trot my butt down to Baltimore (about 2 hours from me in PA) and get fingerprinted.

I am not really sure if this is allowed but at this point I really need my temp practice permit ASAP and will figure out the rest later. Ill let ya know if I hear anything.

For those who need this thread later, I am an out of state endorsement applicant and requested the fingerprint card to be sent to me...well 3 weeks later i still havent seen it and I need that temp permit!

I was able to show up in person to get fingerprinted at the cjis place in Baltimore and then go to the BON office in person. I got my temp license the next day! Success!
