I really want to start a new career in nursing, but I'm apprehensive because of my age (50). But I've also read every where that people my age and older are re-entering school to start new careers. I need some advise and words of encouragement. My dumb ex stopped spousal support, so I really need to secure my financial future. So I figured why not my favorite field in nursing. What do you think ?

If you're going to have to work for more than ten to 15 years and you're in good physical and mental health you might want to go for it. But if you're having health problems, back problems, and want to retire early, you might think a little more.
