I'm a Nurse in TX, but have to wait 6 month for CA license, What job can I do?

I'm a Nurse in Texas.

I have a ss# and am allowed to work.

I applied to get my license trasnferred to CA but it will take about 6 months for the endorsement to come through.

Do you guys have some advice on what job/jobs I could try to apply for in the meantime.

(1) I need the money to pay rent and eat.

(2) I also need some mental stimulation or I will become crazy :(

Any advice?

You can apply for home-based caregiver positions. Many elderly people advertise for caregivers on websites such as Craigslist.com. You can also apply to work as a direct care worker at group homes for the developmentally disabled.
