Not sure what a joint camp is but I'd start by reviewing some of the surgeries/disabilities attendees of this camp experience. A good base knowledge of the different types of arthritis, common mechanism of injury/associated repairs, various surgeries/associated precautions would probably be a good start.
Yep, here in Southern Illinois we have that as well. I love working with ortho patients and now that we have "Joint Camp" it's even better. For the elective surgeries, people come in knowing what to expect which I feel results in better/faster recovery for them. It also eases their mind before this major surgery. Sometimes I notice the pts with roommates do even better because they have a buddy they are constantly competing with! :)

I wanted to try it first though. The nurses there seem really nice, and I believe I can learn a lot. It was just odd for him to say that.

Graduated on Dec 18, and a start my new job on joint camp on Feb 4. Any advice, tips, or anything?
