Ok got accepted into CRNA school and will start in July 2009. Now what is there anything i should study or brush up on prior to entry?

congrats on your acceptance....I would recommend reviewing the autonomic nervous system, pulmonary , and cardiac physiology. Good luck in school

Try and enjoy the next few months because school will take much of your time once you begin. Make sure to get your financial aid lined up ASAP. I don't really see any point in brushing up on info before school, you will learn it in class, but if you feel you must read, I would probably read up on ANS.

congrats on being accepted

I have to agree with getting your finances in order and getting familiar with the ANS.

And I forgot...

Congrats on the acceptance!

I did quite a bit of studying prior to my program. If I could do it over I would have utilized the time to relax more because the program teaches you what you need to know. While at work, maybe just utilize your time to make sure you understand your drugs as detailed as possible...receptors etc. That helped me pass time until the program started and was useful once it began.

I would look up the first semester schedule, and determine if you are weak in any area right off the bat. It seems the first semester transition back to "school" is the hardest, the second and following will hopefully just flow and be the same. If it has been years since you took chemistry, then I definitely suggest a chemistry and organic overview (without the lab), it will save you hours of studying. Graduate level A&P can only help, it will not be exactly like the school you attend, but will should be very similar. And again, anything that decreases the amount of time studying one subject gives you extra time to concentrate on another to keep a good grade overage.

Honestly, you'll be taught what they want you to know. Take the opportunity to spend some time with friends and family. Once school starts, time will become a precious commodity. You won't have a lot of it to spare. Watch your spending and try and save some $ if you can. Make sure you car is running well and get a good printer before school starts. I didn't study prior and I'm doing fine. Quite honestly, I owe so much already. The overtime prior to school didn't make much of a dent compared to the whole scheme of things. Wish I would have given myself some more time to do what I wanted.
