  1. Ok got accepted into CRNA school and will start in July 2009. Now what is there anything i should study or brush up on prior to entry?
  2. I interviewed at mtsa on the 13th as well...from what i found out all the interviews were done on three days this year. How did you guys do? What were your nursing backgrounds?
  3. thank you for the post. i almost have a year of OR under my belt i am planning on getting into a CVICU soon after i hit it. was it hard to adjust to the floor after coming out of the OR. i havent did any floor nursing since my senoir preceptorship. i bet my assessments are horrible. anyways any ifo you can tell me will be greatly appreciated.
  4. i dont think you unserstood the question. i mean did anyone here start their nursing careers in the or BEFORE moving on to persue critical care experience then go to crna school
  5. Just curious if any CRNA's in here started there nursing career in the OR before getting ICU experience and going on to CRNA school?
  6. Are there any Cirulators who have been successful with crosstraining or transfering to pacu/recovery setting after only ever working in the OR?

ok what if i rephrase my question to what do most rnfa's make in the states of TN, NC, VA, or FL? Can any rnfa's giev me any feedback. im just trying to get a rough idea. if taking on the extra responsiblity of an rnfa is worth the time and money.

Ok this was brought up in another thread i was posting in but i never got an answer. i also did a search and couldnt find anything. anyways i graduated form nursing school last may and have since been working in the OR. i love it and wouldnt shange it for the floor for anything. anyways i have become really interested in becoming a first assist. I havent met any RNFA's so my resources are somewhat limited at work. anyways i was basically wondering what the average salary or hourly wages are for rnfas. whether private or paid by the hospital. i would appreciate any info thanks
  9. I am not a member to that site does anyone have acess to it that can help me find the answer to my question.
  10. you do have to have 2 years experience in the OR to get into this program and you do come out with your rnfa as well as your aacnp. and here you dont have to have a c-rnfa to practice only rnfa. here is a link to their program http://www.uab.edu/son/grad_acc_rnfa.htm also I was just curious what the pay is for an rnfa? whether you are and indepdant or working for a hospital or physician
  11. what if you get your rnfa from UAB. it has a dual masters AACNP/rnfa. then you would have the same responsibilities as a PA right.
  12. Thanks. i hope i get in no probs. The only thing im worried about is that i am a recent new graduate and just taken the nclex. Joey
  13. i take it this means that as long as i can prove i took the nclex i am good?
  14. its says something to the extent of proving i worked as a RN for 2-3 years. Im doomed.
