Ok, I got my package Friday and I am in! I have read over the package and OH MY GOD, I am so excited and nervous!!! Ok, so I have made a list of "things to do" and I am confused on several items on the to do list. The picture we have to take. I realize it is a passport picture but what do they mean when they say it must be taken within 30 days of application date? What application date are they talking about? And when and where are we suppose to submit it? The uniforms? What style pants did you get and how did you think of the sizing? I am small and not sure which pants to get. Any suggestions??? Any suggestions or recommendations would be so helpful. Thanks so much in advance!!!!

I do not know about the pic. We had ours taken at then school for our badges but after the program started. Did you school tell you what color you have to wear? There is not much choice for style; but you should stay in the right color range, no pint stripes or siding stripes on the seems. I am 5'1, 105 and wear and size 1 and had to get the extra small Cherokee in the elastic waist band. I got some extra smalls from some graduated students that were the draw string and they are way too big. Most uniform stores have a tailor on site or one that comes in and does editing close to the time you buy you uniform. Different brands have different sizing. But for me, everything is too big! Don't go overboard either; two or three uniforms for the entire program is probably ok, unless they start to fade, which has not been a problem for me yet and I am in my second year. After you graduate you probaly will give your uniforms away or throw them away vowing never to were that color again:lol2:
Thanks for the help. They have given us the styles and color (white) to choose from (ordered thru a website) but I am not sure on the sizes. I know the unisex ones run way big but elastic waiste bands irritate me so bad. I will probably run by a uniform place just to try some on and see what happens. Since they are ordered online if they are too big I will just have to get them altered I guess.
Thanks again!

Congrats! If u don't mind me asking, what school did u get into?
I guess that would have been important information. Funny how excitment can make you loose all ability to think! I got into the program at FCCJ for spring 2008.

Congrats on getting in!!!
Don't worry too much about the photo. I was kind of freaked out too about all the requirements about the photo. Just go to walgreens or CVS and get one taken. Mine even came out a bit blurry and they didn't say anything.
Thanks so much!!! I am excited about starting. Just wish I knew a few people that got in and knew some people that are already in it for so pointers!! Thanks again!!!!
