I'm cluless

I have a question if anyone can help. I posted a forum earlier that everyone said to become an Emergency Tech. How do i go about doing that? I have my CNA, can i get a job in the emergency room with that? And one more questions, who works in the ER, like i know there is a ER doctor, and a RN and a tech but are there anyone else with different degrees?

Thank you

wow! I have never seen an EMT-P work as an ER tech. When I was an EMT-P I could pick up nurse shifts in the ED. I just couldn't take verbal orders over the phone from a pts PCP.

anyway. being an ER tech is great experience and will give you a very good idea and understanding of how the emergency department works.. it has its ups and downs, as does everything.. the advice given by others on this thread is superb though, get as much training as you can and show them that you really want the job..

i wish you the best of luck~~

Some hospitals do the training: check with your human resources dept. Also, check with a guidance counselor at a local high school or community college. Good Luck
