They pee, poop, and fart just like the rest of us. Respect isn't accumulated and tallied just because of a job or an educational title. Try to imagine those higher-ups in funny, humanistic situations.

Carry yourself as well as they do, be articulate, look them in the eye, give them a firm handshake, make it your point to know what their job is, and be confident in yourself.
You can prepare yourself psychologically for it.

Think of it this way, what's the worst thing that can happen?
They find out there's something you don't know?
A) You're a student...you're not supposed to know everything.
B) No one knows everything.

I am this way sometimes too. I always try picture them with their children. I'm a mom, so this helps if I can picture them holding a newborn baby, or men playing with their sons. I dunno why, but this helps me remember they are humans just like I am, no better, no worse, no more important in the scheme of life.
