I'm on the Alternate list!!!

I finally got my letter a few days ago and it said that i was an ALTERNATE!! :(I don' know if this a good or bad thing. I try to look on the bright side cuz it could've been a rejection letter. I called the lady at the school and she told me to just wait and have my money ready just in case. They will call if there are any changes.:(Has/Was anybody else been put in this same position and were able to get in the class when it started? This is at one of the tennessee technolgy centers, if it makes any differnce. I guess all i can do is wait it out and hope GOD answers my prayers!!!:nurse:

many alternates do get in becuz a lot of people sometimes can't start becomes of last minute issues, so def. good luck!!!

Lots of times, alternates do get in. If it were me, I would prepare as if I were admitted. Then I'd be ready for that phone call! :)

I bet you'll get called! You never know how many people applied to a bunch of programs and got accepted to more than one. I was told at my school that spots always open up and the alternates get called to take them. Good luck!!! I'll be sending prayers and good thoughts your way!:D

i'm working with a lady right now who's waiting to get in spring 09, but says if accepted she will turn it down and start in the fall of 09 becuz of family obligations.

you should have a good shot.. i mean take me for instance. In a month ill be applying to like 6 diff nursing schools and i might get an acceptance letter for all 6 and ill have to turn down 5. I have heard so many people get in bc of the alternate list.. just prepare for the worst and hope for the best! please keep us posted
