Just wondering if there were other people who frequent this board who have applied to the 2011 ABSN program at Illinois State.

I applied to the 2011 cohort. Have you heard anything yet?

I haven't heard anything yet either. On the ABSN website it says that they will let people know between Feb 15th and March 15th. Feb 15th is next Monday. I'm hoping they let us know sooner rather than later.

Really nervous right now since I only applied to ISU.

Still no word from ISU yet for me. They are really pushing it to the last minute. The ABSN website says we'll be informed of our application status by March 15. That's less than week from now. Hoping they don,t wait until the 15th.

If you look at the letter they sent us about the changes in the program dates, they also mentioned that they would let us know about admission between March 1-April 1. Keeping my fingers crossed for good news for all of us!

Thanks for pointing that out, Ruby., I had completely missed that in the letter. The woman I spoke to in the nursing office yesterday said they were needing more time due to the high number of applications they received (more than usual). She indicated that we might not find out about our admission status until mid April.

In any event, fingers crossed for everyone. Hope we find out sometime in March.

No haven't heard anything. Sort of annoying how originally we were supposed to be told by the 15th of March. Then it was by April 1. The latest information I was given was that we would be notified by the 15th of April. Hopefully they keep to that and know by next week. Post in this thread if you hear anything. I'll do the same.

Congratulations on acceptance! I was also considering applying to the ISU ABSN program for the following year. I have a 3.1 GPA overall, 3.9 in the prereq's., and good volunteer work. If you don't mind me asking, I was wondering if you were somewhere in this range or knew and stats on their admissions. I tried to contact their office but have had no luck as of late. Any information would help! Thanks in advance and congrats again!
