Fall 2015 City Colleges of Chicago people?

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hey y'all,

I submitted my application for the city college ADN program earlier this year and since it is May, I figured I would start this topic for when the admissions decisions come back in a few weeks! I hope I get in, I would be so happy if I did.

Thanks. You too. Do you know how students choose their schedules? (If we do get in)

I assume during registration but, on the application, you were able to select am/pm.

Hi everyone!

I'm also applying for the fall but it was a last minute decision, so I'm taking my exam Friday morning, then submitting my app right away. Good luck to all of you! I'm so nervous about this test :/

Don't be nervous, it's not that hard. Just stuff you need to refresh on (expository, editorial writing) because you learned it long ago, at least that was the case for me.

Thnaks TRW,

Yeah, I'm just studying from the study guide. Going over Math, English and Reading....I think the Science is too broad to really study. Did you purchase the practice exams from ATI before you took yours? Just wondering how similar the practice exam is from the actual exam?

I did not purchase the study guides or practice tests. I checked out a McGraw-hill and I think a Pearson study guide from the library. I also saw some of the TEAS V practice tests. The questions were quite similar, some were even the same. I would have done much better had I been able to study a bit longer. I only studied like two days.

Thanks for the info. I did purchase one of the practice tests and I didn't do as well as I wanted to, but it gave me an indicator of what I need to study. Hopefully, it will help with the test.

I'm sure that's a great help! Let us know how you do! Study well! Pay attention to the stuff you need to study. You may see those very same questions, it'll be wise to know the answers! Lol

Right! they had me all excited!

Hi, when did you receive this email?

When I applied online, I never received a confirmation page letting me know that my application was received. The web browser page just closed, so I have been wondering if the application ever went through to begin with. I emailed the department asking them if they had received my application, and I have not heard a response back. I do not want to re-apply if the application in fact did go through.. Did this happen to you guys as well?

They sent letters just the other day, maybe Monday, saying they were in receipt of our application. If you did not get one, you should apply again. Upon the completion of my application, I did get a confirmation page, but no email.

Thank you,

So I just reapplied, and the same exact thing happened again.. frustrating! I have emailed them my concerns again...hopefully it went through.. I never received anything in the mail.

When you hit submit, what does it do? They don't send you an email after you apply.

Trw81,

I just applied again 2 minutes ago for the third time, and it finally was processed and went through. It then brought me to the confirmation screen that you were talking about! I was going crazy for a little bit... I am annoyed because I thought I had applied months ago, and the application just went through today... yikes... a little worried about that. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thank you for your help!
