Illinois Central College ADN Program

Hello Everybody,

This is my first post and I was wondering if anyone has attended Illinois Central Colleges ADN program. I received my letter yesterday stating that I am qualified for admission but there is a 2-3 year waiting list. Just wondering if anybody else has gone through this school and if the wait really was 2-3 years or if they got in quicker. Also wondering how you liked the program, teachers, etc... What kind of uniforms are required, how were the clinical experiences?

Just curious!! Thanks!

ICC is in Peoria isn't it?? Did not attend there....but there are many schools within commuting time in that area. Did attend nursing school in that part of the world...loved it loved it. Look into all the programs around there...there is St Francis, Methodist, Mennonite, plus quite a few ADN programs. If there is really a 2-3 year wait, finish your pre-req's and apply to all the schools in the area. That is what I did and I started school 2 months after I applied. Good luck to you!!;)

I work in Peoria and the problem is obtaining MSN-prepared instructors. ICC has a good program as does OSF Saint Francis and Bradley. Am unsure if Methodist is accredited yet - check into that prior to attending. Good luck...

Thanks for the info! I'll do some more checking into other schools.
