IL RN License

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hi there,

I received "unofficial" results from Pearson Vue saying I passed NCLEX. Im just confused ( its hard getting in touch with a real person from the IL BON) on Illinois's process....do they send you an official result in the mail shortly after you take NCLEX? Do you have to pay a completely separate fee for a license? Im having a hard time getting info off of their website...any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you =)

You have already paid for the license, you did that when you filed your application with the state. You just need to wait for it.

Illinois will send you confirmation of passing shortly. I had to wait about 2 weeks or so, but then again.....it's been a while. :)

Suebird :p

Pearson does not send results, you can view if you passed after 48 hours for a fee of $7.95; provided that the state permits it.

License issuance is completely up to the state as to how they handle it. Pearson-Vue is not involved in that at all. That is why the results are considered unoffical. They have to come from a BON to be official.

About a week after taking the Nclex. I received my documents to send $50.00 to Illinois (springfield office) Just make sure your name is correctly spelled and send check with the paperwork received. I took the Test on June 26, 2006 and My name didn't get posted on the Illinois website for another month July 25th.

Gotcha...very helpful info. thanks so much for you help!
