If Nursing is your dream. Don't give up!

If Nursing is your dream don't ever give up that dream. If your reading this then it's probably because you failed your nclex or are trying to find a shortcut on learning the information to pass nclex. I am proof that anyone can pass nclex if you really want to, if it is knowledge deficent or anxiety. I am an Army veteran and I was a police officer for 20 years, I've been shot, stabbed and in numerous altercations over those 20 years, yet when I went to take nclex I was scared (you know what). Anxiety can do that and do it to anyone. The way to overcome it is to recognize it and calm yourself down. Slow your breathing, stop answering questions and raise your hand and take a quick break. The pearson test people will allow you to take one, all you have to do is ask. I believe if you made it through nursing school that you can pass nclex. The knowledge is there and you exercise that knowledge by going over questions, taking practice test and lookig at the rationals. I know 4-5 thousand questions seems impossible but if you do a 100 or so every day it adds up fast and you'll be suprised at how much you will recognize on practice doing this. I said around a hundred so you won't overload yourself. Either way don't give up!
