If I fail NCLEX how soon before my GN license is removed?

Published

Hi Everyone,

I took the NCLEX yesterday. I am going crazy waiting for the results. I have been reading many of the threads but can't find what I am looking for. Can you help.

1. If you fail the NCLEX how soon before your GN license is removed from the BNE website?

2. how long did you have to wait for quick results to show up?

I had 75 questions, 13 SATA, no math, several medication questions. I am trying not to doubt myself but its really hard to stay positive. I am exhausted. I hope tomorrow comes quicly.

I also tried the pearson vue trick. It does not let me go the CC page.

Thanks for your help.

1. Forget the trick.

2. You can't predict.

3. You lose the GN license immediately.

5. Quick Results take 48 buiness hours, but generally a straight 48.

Yep-you lose the GN immediately, pass or fail.

I got my results in less than 24hrs via my state board website.

I'm sure you did fine!

Immediately. But don't look at it this way. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt. And good luck!

Thanks for your response. I never thought about the GN license being removed even if you pass. So either way it will be removed.

In my state of residence, if you fail the NCLEX you lose the right to practice as a GN immediately, and you can't practice nursing until you pass the test.

Hang in there--from what I've read so far, having it cut off at 75 is a good sign.
