I have only 4 more prereqs for my RN program and math is the one thats holding me up. I have to take two remedial math classes just to get to college level math. Before I can take chemistry I have to pass college level math. I have been to tutoring and that have not even helped. I plan to keep studying for math placement and I'm going to retake the placement test to get placed in a higher math course.
I have one more chance and will give it all I got. Wish me luck. My goal is to complete my prereqs by fall/winter and start the rn program next fall. Wish me luck.

I know how you feel, I am also having a tough time, but we will get through it. If you want it badly enough you will get there. I will be tutoring for this summer and will be taking the placement test in the fall. At CCSF all you need is Math 860 for the prereqs. Intermediate Algebra.

I say, you'll be glad u did "the math." Once u get in a program you'll need it.

I found math hard also. I had to do 4 math classes before I was able to start my Associates degree in nursing. I got a "B" for, basic, begining, and intermediate algebra, and I then got an "A" for college algebra. I think it can be easy if you are willing to put the work into it. Math in nursing school is pretty easy compared to them algebra classes. You can do it if you put your mind to it.
