Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

You don't apply for the NCLEX. You apply for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse. NCLEX is one step in the process. You cannot take the NCLEX without approval from a board of nursing. First is to apply to the state BoN where you wish to live and work and follow the instructions to apply for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse.

It says they may issue a License without a Social Security Number.

I would not do anything via US Postal Service or PhilPost, more than likely it will get lost or never make it.

Have someone go to your school and request in person and then have then give them the sealed envelope with stamp on back flap of envelope and have send it via DHL or Fed Ex or LBC to US..

Is requesting for your transcript from the school the first step to apply? or do u have to contact the board first?

I have no clue what the requirements are for your state. For Texas I had my girl go to her school and and send the paperwork from her school to CES Service and then she went to PRC and had the Verification of License sent to CES Service, For us it didn't matter the order. I did the CES evalution was my first step since I knew it would take a couple of weeks to do, and then I filled out and mailed in initial application to the Texas BON since I knew it would get to BON before the CES made it to the BON.

you have to contact the board first then they will tell you what the first thing to do.
