I am a first-semester nursing student (Jr. I) from Southeast Ga. I wanted to get some suggestions on ideas for a nursing image project. Its basically a group project where we create a product that reflects an image on professional nursing in contemporary society. My professor gave us some ideas that past nursing students used, such as military nurses and comparing the function of nursing from different countries. I greatly appreciate any feedback given, and GOOD LUCK TO ALL FIRST YEAR NURSING STUDENTS :) !! We WILL make it. Keep your head up because there is light at the end of the tunnel !

I think one way to identify a good image of nursing is to list some of the attributes of a successful professional nurse. Here are a few that come to my mind:
educated
compassionate
strength
advocate
monitor
nurturer
friend
Perhaps some of these characteristics can lead you to develop an image profile that presents nurses as educated advocates for patients, that possess strength, compassion and friendship to people in their time of need. These professionals monitor health status day and night and nurture people back to good health.
Hope this helps.
