Ideas for Nursing Grad Party

Published

hey everyone! this might be a little premature but i have confidence! i graduate nursing school in 6 weeks!!! i am already sort of planning my graduation party, i am planning on middle of july for the party.

anyway, i want to have a nursing theme! i have decided to do jello shots in unused 10cc syringes, possibly vodka lemonade in unused foley bags, chips & dip in wash basins and emesis basins, maybe use some kerlex instead of streamers etc. i just wanted to see if anyone else can add their creative 2 cents!! i have bought some unused still in package items off of ebay. any suggestions would be helpful.. thanks and have a good one!!!!

oh mother of god i am hysterical laughing... i have 2 semesters to go too and i had been planning my party since i started lolol but that is too much... foley bags... i cant.. im all in for the bonfire... ill send my address... please invite me to all parties :jester:

I made a cranberry vodka drink and put it in an empty 1L NS IV bag (it was a "practice" bag that came with our lab kit), then used the IV tubing to deliver individual shots into medicine cups (hubby built a make-shift IV pole). Also put raisinets in a bedpan. Did the Foley thing, too, which was a big hit.

I love it... great ideas!!! Keep 'em coming!!! I think this is all hysterical and I'm sure my peers will too when they come. I wonder how many of my non-healthcare family and friends will be totally grossed out though!!!!!

Man I am jealous- my party had to be tame last year because I was 6 months pregnant. And I gave my uniform to goodwill- It would have been so cathartic to burn it!

Ditto the above, I am in a diploma program and am partying when I graduate. I already did the Bachelors degree...and my diploma RN program is wayyyyyyyyyy harder than my BA Psych program!

Work is work and you did a great job.
