IA critical care work valued?

Hi, I'm a new grad and couldn't get into a nurse residency program, so I am going to start working at a critical care hospital.  It is a hybrid between a long-term care SNF and a hospital ICU. thesecarecICU patients who's insurance doesn't  cover long term ICU care, or hospitals who need to free up space in their ICUs.

Should I work there for a year or 2,  is this kind of experience good for getting a job at an acute care medical center?
