I am a Nigerian [west Africa]female Nurse based in Nigeria i have just recieved an application pack from the NMC UK and i have started my documentation.Please i need nurse friends based in uk that would encourage and advice me because i dont have anybody i know in uk.Please i really do need a uk nurse friend .I am 37yrs ,single and with eighteen years experience as a nurse/midwife though i am to register only as a general nurse in uk.
Hey just noticed you are from manchester did you train there? i am from manchester too but live on south coast now. I qualified in 1992 from South Manchester school/college of nursing. Worked at Withington/Wythenshawe hospital and Hope. mainly on renal but did do medical for 10 months.

Hi Agatha, I am a 45 yr old nurse but am afraid I am very disillusioned with nursing at the moment. I have worked as an auxiliary nurse in a local hospice although I have been a registered nurse for 25 years! My boss is strict like no other and uses her own rules for conditions, salary etc. BUT don't let me put you off. We have had one or two nurses at our hospice from Nigeria but none stay too long. If there is anything I can do to help you I would be happy to altho I am not online very often. But please contact my anyway. I have only once been out of Scotland and would be interested to hear about yourself and nursing in Nigeria.
