I want to try camp nursing. Can you tell me a good place to start? I live in Virginia. I would like to bring my 7 year old boy and 9 year old girl. My hope is that this can be our thing in the summers; to meet new people, see new places. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sep 18, 2018 The Association of Camp Nursing website (campnurse.org) might be a good place to start for information about camp nursing. Also, maybe consider contacting your local YMCA or YWCA to see if they offer a camp or are connected to one. I volunteer one week each summer for a camp, it's a great experience.

Any advice would be appreciated. This is what I have started doing with my kids and they LOVE it. I registered with campnurse.net and was contacted by several camps. Do your research on any camp you are interested in to make sure it's a good fit and if you are working there as a nurse that you will not be overwhelmed.
