Can somebody give me lists of certification I can get as RN? Two nurses at my work are certified. One is in IV and another in Wound. I want to get certified but not sure what.

Jan 12, 2012 Most nurses become certified in their particular specialty be in emergency nursing, med-surg, critical care, etc. An examination is required after working a specific amount of time in that particular specialty.

Jan 12, 2012 You might want to spend some time on the ANCC website (American Nurses' Credentialing Center). In the literature on their Magnet Program, they have a long list of possible certifications and the organizations that provide those certifications. It's quite a lengthy and inclusive list of all the possibilities.
